Advertees no longer offers Direct to Garment printing (DTG)
Direct to garment printing can produce good quality tshirt prints. We originally thought we would save on set up costs involved in screen printing multi-colour designs on small print runs, but this has turned out to be true only in a few cases. We think DTG is preferable to sheet transfer techniques, which have been used for this kind of order in the past, but we do not feel it is the best method available for T shirt printing at present. It is also not at all suitable for more open weave garments such as polo shirts and sweatshirts. This has been a learning process for Advertees and, although DTG can produce outstanding prints at times, we do not think it currently delivers the consistency of print quality we require. We hope to take another look at DTG again soon, as this method improves year on year as new machines come onto the market..
