T shirt printing
There are many ways to customise T-shirts with your design, but not all methods offer the same quality as screen printing. Some of the options available are outlined below, but if you are short on time and have no wish to learn about the pros and cons of each type of printing, simply send us your design and your requirements and we will be happy to advise on the best solution.

- Your Budget If you need cheap T shirt printing you need to consider all the things that add to your costs. These include the number of print positions, the number of colours within your design and any other additional customisation such as individual names and numbers. The cheapest t shirt printing option would be a single colour logo printed across a large quantity of t shirts. On orders of 10 shirts or more, screen printing is by far the best option. Our 50 and 100 T-shirt deals are designed to cater for anyone seeking cut price screen printed T shirts, without sacrificing the quality of the T shirt or the print. These T-shirt offers are also designed to make the ordering process quick and easy for our customers.

- Quantity rates Our T Shirt printing services start from a minimum of 10 Tshirts, but orders of this size will be limited to single colour screen printing. Each colour in a screen printed design requires its own screen. Advertees does not charge for the first print screen on any job, as single colour work is quick for us to process. Most of the costs and time involved in screen printing are incurred in making the print screens, and setting these screens up on our machine ready to print. These set up costs are easily absorbed on bigger orders, so the more T shirts that are in one print run, the less the cost per tshirt. When creating designs for small orders it is advisable to keep your set up costs to a minimum. Working with a limited palette of colour does not have to limit the quality or impact of your final design.

- Light and Dark Shirts This is an important consideration in terms of cost, and increasingly something that you may want to think about where environmental considerations are important to you. Printing onto dark T shirts nearly always requires a white underprint, which requires an extra print screen. We presently use Wilflex Epic range of pthalate-free plastisol inks as standard. We also print waterbased discharge inks by request, for light colours on to darker coloured shirts.

- Environmental, fair trade ethical T shirts and printing This is a growing and important part of our industry now. We recommend the use of Earth Positive clothing for the best climate neutral and ethical standards available, and would also recommend Okarma for premium organic T shirts. We would advise always using waterbased inks on organic garments. For printing white or light colours on to darker tshirts we would use either a discharge printing process, which uses bleaches (Advertees uses a formaldahyde-free ink which has no heavy metals), or an opaque waterbased ink, depending on the tshirt and print colour combinations required. The opaque waterbased ink will contain polymers that give a similar feel and performance to plastisol inks. At this moment in time we consider both these waterbased inks to be preferable to plastic inks, but the greenest option of all is to print with clear waterbased inks onto lighter coloured shirts.
